The acoustic scanner generates a 360 ° 0e19f3ed23continuous and oriented image of the borehole walls by transmitting ultrasound pulses from arotating sensor. It is capable of recording simultaneously, the amplitude and the travel times of the reflected signals at the interface between the fluid and the rock formations.

Thedevice is equipped with a orientation system and needs to be centralized. The BHTV tool needs the presence of a fluid inside the borehole. It is also operating in muddy water condition.

APPLICATIONS:

♦ Fractures and cavities identification;

♦ Geomechanical analysis of vertical and horizontal boreholes;

♦ Inspection of casing, localization of metal portions in the borehole or slotted portions;

♦ Diameter definition through the digital caliper, grout volume definition.
