The Spinner flow meter is used to identify the fluid circulation within the borehole water column. Through an impeller with vertical rotation axis and moving the tool inside the hole, is possible to detect the fluids circulation. The Spinner flow meter log is usually performed both down and up runs mode.
The measured data are essential for locating income and losses of fluid at certain geologic formations or fractures. Performing a careful field calibration are quantified the individual fluid. The flow meter log is also applicable during of pumping tests.
